This is a wheel thrown porcelain mini moon jar. It has been decorated by hand using a blue underglaze and finished with a clear, glossy glaze. It is made as thin as Tamsin dares, making it super light in your hand and translucent beside a light.

The decoration is applied entirely by eye, using only a roughly drawn pencil mark as a guide which burns out during the glaze fire. As a result each piece is unique.

Size: 7 x 6 cm.

Tamsin works mostly in porcelain. She is interested in making beautiful functional pieces that people will treasure and use for years. She hand paints her pieces, often with patterns inspired by textiles and embroidery.
